Gold jewellery worth ₹30 lakh was burgled from a house at Pratibha Nagar, Kalmandapam, in Palakkad town on Wednesday. The police said that the thief broke into the locked house of Sivadasan as he had been visiting a temple in Thiruvananthapuram along with his family.
The front door of the house was found broken when the maid reached the house for cleaning on Wednesday morning. A surveillance camera has captured the footage of a masked man breaking in, which could be a crucial evidence for the investigation.
The police began an investigation with the help of the dog squad and forensic experts.
