A youth was arrested by the Aluva police on Saturday (October 25, 2025) for allegedly trespassing into the house of actor Dileep. The suspect was identified as Abhijith Baburaj, 29, of Manjeri.
The incident occurred around Friday (October 24, 2025) midnight at the actor’s residence at Kottarakkadavu in Aluva. Residents of the house caught the youth and alerted the police. A police team reached the house and took the youth into preventive custody on the ground that he could not explain the reason for his presence there.
The youth has been booked under Section 170 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita which allows the police to arrest a person without a warrant to prevent the commission of a cognizable offence.
