Writ in HC claims TDB funded Ayyappa meet

A petition was filed on Tuesday before the Kerala High Court alleging that the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) transferred ₹3 crore of its funds to a firm as part of hosting the Global Ayyappa Sangamam at Pampa on September 20.

This is in violation of an affidavit that the TDB submitted before the High Court stating that no money for the event would be used from the public exchequer and from the resources of the TDB and that it would be funded entirely through “sponsorships,” said the petitioner S.J.R. Kumar, an Ernakulam native.
