The State Industries and Commerce Department in association with the Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion (KBIP) is marking its presence felt at the World Food India 2025 – the flagship global food processing exhibition organised by the Union Ministry of Food Processing Industries – with a Kerala pavilion showcasing the State’s diverse food traditions and value added products.
The four day event, held from September 25 to 28, has drawn participation from more than 90 countries.
M.A. Yusuff Ali, vice-chairman of NORKA and chairman of LuLu Group International, who inaugurated the pavilion, commended Kerala’s expanding role in the global food processing market. Representing Kerala are 24 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), a result of Kerala’s strategic focus on nurturing grassroots entrepreneurship. The presentation, combining traditional flavours with modern processing techniques, attracted interest from national and international buyers and industry leaders, said a press release.
