The Kerala State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (K-SOTTO) is organising a workshop for government doctors on brain stem death certification here on Friday (June 13, 2025).
Doctors in Government hospitals will be taken through the importance of brain death certification; technicalities involved, including the prerequisites for brain stem death testing and apnoea testing, legal aspects and documentation involved for brain death certification.
Those given training are the doctors of general medicine, anaesthesiology, general surgery and pulmonology in various government hospitals in Thiruvananthapuram and doctors at Government Medical College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram.
Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Rajan Khobragade, Director of Medical Education K.V. Vishwanathan, among others, will be present.
