Union ministry’s award for SCTIMST scientist

R.S. Jayasree, Scientist ‘G’, Division of Biophotonics and Imaging, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), has been selected for the prestigious “Women in Medicine” Award 2025, by the National Academy of Medical Sciences under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

This is the first time that the award, given to women who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of medical and biomedical sciences, is being bestowed on a Keralite, a statement issued by the SCTIMST said.

The award will be presented on November 8 at the convocation ceremony of the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. Dr. Jayasree has also been invited to present her research work at the event and will receive a Scroll of Honor.
