The police on Thursday (October 30, 2025) arrested two youths for allegedly attempting to steal money by breaking open an ATM at Marampilly near Perumbavoor. The arrested have been identified as Sujith Babu, 26, of Koduveli near Thodupuzha, and Anandu Prasad, 24, of Sooranad, Kollam.
The duo allegedly tried to break into the ATM of a leading bank around 3 a.m. on Thursday. The theft attempt was reported to the police by the bank’s headquarters after receiving an alert. A case has been registered based on a complaint filed by the bank.
