Two crude bombs were recovered from a field at Muliyathod within the Panur police station limits in Kannur, Kerala, on Tuesday (May 13, 2025), prompting a police investigation.
The explosives were found by U.P. Aneesh, the landowner, while cleaning the property with workers. The bombs were discovered under a coconut tree. He immediately alerted the Panur police.
A police team, along with dog and bomb squads, reached the spot and began an inspection. The bomb squad later defused the crude bombs.
Further investigation is under way to determine the source and intended use of the explosives.
