The construction of tetrapods as part of the Arthunkal fishing harbour development has commenced. The work was inaugurated by Agriculture Minister P. Prasad on Tuesday. Mr. Prasad said that regular reviews would be held to ensure that the harbour’s construction is completed in a time-bound manner. He said the remaining breakwater construction would begin by mid-September. A total of 8,200 tetrapods will be laid and around 4.9 lakh tonnes of rock will be used.
