Tata Power Company Ltd for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2025 reported 25% growth in consolidated net profit at Rs.1,306 crore as compared with Rs 1,046 crore a year ago thus continuing growth momentum for the 22nd consecutive quarter.
Consolidated revenue for the quarter at Rs 17,238 crore grew 7% Year on Year (YoY).
For FY25 the company’s consolidated net profit rose 12% YoY to Rs 4775 crore.
Consolidated annual revenue grew 5% YoY to Rs 64,502 crore.
The board has recommended a dividend of Rs 2.25 per share compared with Rs 2 in the previous year.
The Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business net profit grew 50% to ₹616 crore in Q4FY25 and this business achieved full year PAT growth of 37% over the previous year, the company said.
“Odisha Discoms PAT grew by 207% to ₹275 crore in Q4FY25 and it achieved full year PAT of ₹439 crore, a growth of 43% over previous year,” the company said.
The net profit of Renewables business grew 62% to ₹ 469 crore in Q4FY25 & by 48% to ₹1,256 crore for FY25.
The Rooftop Solar segment achieved ₹100 crore PAT milestone during Q4FY25 and ₹209 crore in FY25.
TP Solar reported net profit of ₹422 crore PAT in FY25 and achieved revenue of ₹5,337crore with production of 3,291 MW of modules and 846 MW of cells in FY25.
In Q4FY25, the Distribution segment recorded an impressive 73% YoY growth in PAT, driven primarily by Odisha Discoms’ strong performance. Odisha Discoms’ PAT surged 3 times to ₹ 275 crore, supported by improved billing and collection efficiencies, along with lower Expected Credit Loss (ECL) provision.

“Q4FY25 marks 22nd consecutive quarter of PAT growth, highlighted by several significant milestones. For the first time, we surpassed 1 GW in renewable capacity additions within a single year and are now targeting 2 GW in FY26.
“Our rooftop solar business has performed impressively, reaching over 1.5 lakh installations, with a total installed capacity of 3 GW. Additionally, our 4.3 GW cell and 4.3 GW module manufacturing facility in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu produced 3,291 MW of modules and 846 MW of cells during the year,: he said.
“Our Distribution segment also delivered strong results, with PAT from Odisha Discoms surging 3 times in Q4FY25 and 43 % in FY25,” he added.
In FY25, Tata Power said it commissioned over 2.5 GW of renewable capacity—comprising 1 GW of in-house utility-scale projects, 600 MW of rooftop solar (782 MWp), and 900 MW for third-party customers— showcasing its expertise to execute at speed and scale.
Today the company has nearly 3 GW capacity under development across states like Karnataka and Maharashtra. It has secured over 6,800 MW of grid connectivity, and has acquired more than 30,000 acres of land for setting up the ongoing 5.4 MW of projects in pipeline, the company said.
