A student died in a road accident at Kambalakkad in Wayanad on Saturday (May 31, 2025) morning. Dilshana, 19, was hit by a jeep while she was going to fetch milk from a nearby shop around 7:30 a.m.
Though she was rushed to a hospital in Kalpetta, she could not be saved. Dilshana was a second-year undergraduate student at St. Mary’s College, Sulthan Bathery. The jeep was reportedly overspeeding and had hit water supply pipes placed on the roadside before hitting Dilshana.
