A special investigation team (SIT) has been constituted to probe the electrocution of a 13-year-old student at Thevalakkara Boys High School in Kollam last week.
The SIT is headed by Sasthamcotta Circle Inspector Aneeze A. The team includes three Sub-Inspectors and two senior civil police officers.
As part of the investigation, the SIT recorded the statements of school management committee members.
Following the incident, the police had registered a case under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita. Officials said the Section would be altered as the investigation progressed.
Sources said the school manager, headmistress, and Kerala State Electricity Board officials were likely to be made accused in the case.
