The Students’ Federation of India (SFI) secured a major victory in the Kannur University Senate elections, winning seven out of ten seats in the General Council of University Union constituency. The Muslim Students Federation (MSF) won the remaining three seats, while the Kerala Students Union (KSU) failed to open its account.
The SFI winners are K. V. Swathi Pradeepan and Amal Pavanan (Thaliparamba Institute of Public Policy and Leadership), K. V. Roshin (Manjeswaram Department of Law, School of Legal Studies), M. Anurag (Pazhayangadi Co-operative Arts and Science College), P. Amalraj (Dr Janaki Ammal Campus, Kannur University), Arya M. Babu (Kanhangad Nehru Arts and Science College) and K.K. Varun (Mangattuparamba Campus, Department of Environmental Studies).
The MSF panel winners are P. Abdulsalam, K. Munavir and C.H. Syed Thaha.
Following the victory, SFI organised a celebration in Kannur city. Central Committee member Bipinraj Payam, along with State Committee members K. Pranav, T. Joyal, T. P. Akhila and Sarath Raveendran, addressed the gathering.
