Secretariat premises searched for snakes

The Forest department on Sunday searched the Secretariat, following concerns of possible snake sightings on the premises. Volunteers from the department’s SARPA wing rescued a common wolf snake, a non-venomous species, during the operation. Officials have stated that a more detailed inspection will be undertaken on Monday. More trained snake rescue personnel are expected to take part.
