Technology

On Monday, Samsung began rolling out its latest Android 15-based One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 series of smartphones. The new software update features an updated UI and new AI capabilities, and it was unveiled alongside the launch of the Galaxy S25 series in February 2025.

One UI 7 is considered one of the best Android skins on the market. The company has now released the update for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. This marks the first major OS update for these devices, which are slated to receive software support for seven years.

The update is being rolled out in phases and will be available for both Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Exynos 2400-powered models. Samsung is expected to complete the rollout within the next few weeks.

The One UI 7 update follows the beta release that was made available for the Galaxy S24 series a few months ago. It will also be rolled out to older Galaxy S series, Z series, A series, M series, and F series smartphones in the coming days.

However, compared to other flagship Android smartphone makers, Samsung is among the last to push out the Android 15 update to its premium devices. Brands like OnePlus, OPPO, Vivo, iQOO, and others had already released Android 15-based updates back in December 2024.
