Sabarimala pilgrim dies after collapsing on Sathram forest path

A Sabarimala pilgrim collapsed and died on the Sathram-Pullumedu forest path while on the way to the Sannidhanam on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Mallikarjun Reddy, 42, of Hyderabad.

According to Azhutha Range officer D. Benny, a group of devotees from Hyderabad, including Mallikarjun, was trekking through the forest path when he collapsed and died near Sithakulam. The body was shifted to the Government Medical College Hospital, Idukki, for post-mortem examination.

According to officials, Mallikarjun had a history of heart problems.
