The district administration has imposed temporary restrictions on tourist movements in Nelliyampathy considering the risk of accidents following relentless rainfall in the region.
On Saturday, the area witnessed uprooted trees blocking traffic at a few spots and minor landslides, prompting officials to prioritise visitor safety. Tourists will not be allowed entry until the rain subsides and conditions improve.
