BJP zonal general secretary K.K. Surendran demanded here on Monday that the government release the accounts of the global Ayyappa meet it recently conducted.
“The meet was not conducted for the development of Sabarimala; but it was held for the growth of temple looters,” he said.
Mr. Surendran alleged that crores of rupees were collected and misappropriated in the name of the global Ayyappa meet. He accused the government of trying to loot temple property.
He demanded the resignation of Devaswom Minister V.N. Vasavan and Devaswom Board president P.S. Prasanth for misrepresenting facts about the Ayyappa meet before the High Court.
