As many as 84,225 applications for Plus One single-window higher secondary admission were received on Wednesday, the first day of application submission.
These applications to government and aided schools have been confirmed online. Applications can be submitted till 5 p.m. on May 20.
More than 1 lakh candidate logins have been created, but online confirmations have not been done by all.
The maximum number of applications was from Malappuram district—9,504. Palakkad followed with 9,076 applications. Next were Thiruvananthapuram with 7,823 and Ernakulam with 7,360 applications.
The number of students who passed the SSLC examinations this year from Malappuram was 79,272, while from Palakkad it was 39,898.
The least number of applications was from Wayanad—2,271. Pathanamthitta was slightly ahead with 3,049 applicants.
As many as 7,173 applications were received from Kollam, 6,926 from Alappuzha, and 6,663 from Kannur.
Trial allotment will be held on May 21. The first allotment will be published on June 2.
There are 4,41,887 Plus One higher secondary seats available in the State, and 33,030 vocational higher secondary seats, taking the total number of Plus One seats to 4,74,917. Besides these, 61,429 ITI seats and 9,990 polytechnic seats are also available, taking the total number of seats available for higher secondary education to 5,46,336, as per the government.
