Ed-tech firm Physicswallah Ltd. (PWL) debuted at a premium of 33%, opening at ₹145 on the National Stock Exchange. The company allotted shares at the price of ₹109 a share. 

On the Bombay Stock Exchange, the stock opened at ₹143 a share, a 31.1% premium over the issue price. The stock hit a low of ₹137 on the NSE and reached a high of ₹161.99 before settling at the day’s close of ₹156.

As of November 13, investors subscribed 1.8 times the shares offered by Physicswallah. Qualified institutional buyers (QIB) had subscribed 2.7 times and retail investors, 1.06 times the quota of shares reserved for the category.

This makes it the first education technology start-up to be listed in the Indian capital market. The company raised ₹3480 crore with about 90% of it is fresh issue.
