The local wing of the Kerala Government Medical Officers Association (KGMOA) will protest here on Wednesday against the suspension of two junior doctors at Government District Hospital in connection with the alleged treatment lapse which led to the amputation of a nine-year-old girl’s hand.

KGMOA officials said that they would conduct a black day and hold protest meets at government hospitals in Palakkad on Wednesday. They also threatened to boycott all official training programmes and reporting, except pulse polio programme.

They threatened to boycott the District Hospital outpatient (OP) wing on October 13. They warned of boycotting all OP consultation in all government hospitals in the district on October 14.
