Order issued for hike in honorarium of pre-primary teachers, ayahs

The government has issued an order increasing the honorarium of pre-primary teachers and ayahs who work under parent-teacher associations in government schools with effect from November 1. The State Cabinet had recently decided to hike the monthly honorarium of the pre-primary teachers and ayahs by ₹1,000.

The honorarium of pre-primary teachers with more than 10 years of service will go up from ₹12,500 to ₹13,500, while that for those with less than 10 years of service will increase from ₹12,000 to ₹13,000. Pre-primary ayahs with more than 10 years of service will get ₹8,500, up from ₹7,500, while those with less than a decade of service will see their pay go up from ₹7,000 to ₹8,000.
