The Ernakulam Grand Mosque organised an ‘Open Mosque’ programme on Friday (November 21).
The event allowed people from other faiths to witness the weekly Jumu’ah (Friday) prayer and view the interiors of the mosque and its rituals, said a release issued here. The programme commenced with the Jumu’ah Khutba (sermon) delivered by Imam Faisal Azhari.
Kerala High Court judges Bachu Kurian Thomas, V.G. Arun, and C.S. Manu were among those who attended. The initiative is part of steps toward building bridges, dispelling misconceptions, and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood in Kerala’s diverse society, the communication said.
