NTTM likely to be extended for two years

The National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM) that was launched by the Ministry of Textiles in 2020 with ₹1,480 crore total funding and end in March 2026 is likely to be extended by two years.

An official said that with nearly 50 % of the funds used so far, the Mission is expected to be extended by two years. The Mission has four components – research, innovation, and development; market development, export promotion, and education and training. “A clarity in this regard is expected in the Union budget,” said a representative of the textile industry.
