NMDC reported iron ore production in June increased nearly 6% to 3.57 million tonne from the 3.37 MT year earlier, while sales at 3.58 MT (3.73 MT) were lower year on year.
For the quarter ended June, iron ore production rose more than 30% to 11.99 MT (9.19 MT). Sales in the first quarter were 14% higher at 11.51 MT (10.07 MT), the physical performance numbers shared by the company with stock exchange showed.

It was the highest-ever June month production since inception and the best-ever first quarter, the company said.
“Our performance this quarter reaffirms the strength of our strategy and unwavering commitment to growth. We are steadily advancing towards our vision of achieving annual targets through a balanced approach,” CMD Amitava Mukherjee said.
With resilience at the core and innovation as the lever, NMDC is well-positioned to lead the next phase of India’s mining and steel journey, he said.
Office in Dubai
In a release, NMDC said the company opened its new international office in Dubai as part of a strategy to strengthen its global presence. The Dubai office will serve as a strategic hub, actively tracking developments in the mineral sectors across the MENA region, Africa, and Australia. This will enable real-time insights, faster decision-making and deeper engagement with international mining partners, the State-owned miner said.
