Public Works Minister P.A. Mohamed Riyas on Sunday inaugurated the construction of the long-awaited Nedupuzha railway overbridge, declaring it part of the State’s ambitious ‘Level-Cross-Free Kerala’ initiative.

Mr. Riyas said his office would directly monitor the project to ensure time-bound completion and added that work on eight more overbridges would begin this year.

Presiding over the ceremony, Revenue Minister K. Rajan traced the project’s journey from conception to launch.

The ₹36.23-crore project, funded by the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) and implemented by the Kerala Roads and Bridges Development Corporation (RBDCK), is expected to end decades of traffic bottlenecks at Nedupuzha.
