The body of a bank employee missing since Wednesday (July 2, 2025) was recovered from the backwaters near the Embarkation Jetty on Willingdon Island on Friday (July 4, 2025) afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Ratheesh Babu, 43, a resident of Friends Lane, Gandhi Nagar. He was employed at a private bank in Palarivattom. His family had lodged a complaint with the Kadavanthra police on Thursday stating that he had left for work around 9 a.m. on Wednesday but did not return.
Police recovered his two-wheeler from near the Kumbalam Bridge. The Kadavanthra police have launched a probe to ascertain the cause of death.
