The police have arrested a 26-year-old man for allegedly killing his mother and attempting to attack a relative at Vorkady, Manjeswaram.
The accused, Melvin Monthero, 26, was nabbed from Kollur, Karnataka, on Thursday (June 26, 2025) afternoon after he allegedly fled the scene following the suspected murder of his mother Hilda Monthero, 60.
He also reportedly attempted to kill a relative Lolita, 30, after calling her to the house claiming his mother was missing. She is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mangaluru.
