Man from Rajasthan held for allegedly duping expatriate of ₹27 lakh

A man from Rajasthan was arrested by the Thadiyittaparambu police for his alleged involvement in a cyber fraud in which an expatriate from Vazahakulam lost ₹27 lakh.

Lakshaman Lal Kumavath, 27, was arrested from a village in Gujarat, the police said. According to the police, a gang led by the accused befriended the Vazhakulam native through social media and lured him into online trading, promising higher returns.
