Man found dead with head injury in Perumbavoor

An unidentified man, aged around 40, was found dead in Perumbavoor on Saturday (September 6).

The police registered a case of unnatural death after they were alerted by the local people about the body near a lodge, which had been lying closed for a while.

Bloodstains were found behind the head of the man, and on the premises where the body was found, the police said. It is suspected that the man was drunk and was fatally injured in a fall, a police officer said. The officer said the cause of the death could be confirmed only after a postmortem examination.
