Madin Academy here on Thursday took out a mega Milad rally as part of celebrating the 1,500th birthday of Prophet Muhammad. Hundreds of people took part in the rally singing hymns in praise of the Prophet.
Organisations such as the Kerala Muslim Jamat, Sunni Yuvajana Sangham, Sunni Jamiyyathul Muallimeen, Sunni Management Association and Sunni Students Federation took part in the rally.
Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama president E. Sulaiman Musliar inaugurated the rally. Samastha secretary Ponmala Abdul Khadir Musliar presided. Madin Academy Chairman Syed Ibrahim Khaleel Bukhari delivered the Milad address.

Mr. Bukhari described Prophet Muhammad as a trailblazing figure who instilled values of justice and equality in humanity. “He was a perfect model of love, friendship and compassion for fellow beings,” he said.
The students of Madin Rithabul Quran presented a duff display and a flower show. Participants sung hymns of Prophet in different languages.
