Dr. M. Anirudhan remembrance meeting was held here on Tuesday with speakers paying tributes to the industrialist and director of NoRKA Roots, who recently passed away.
Delivering the keynote talk at the meeting, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said he had been maintaining good relations with the founding president of FOKANA (Federation of Kerala Associations in North America), a leading Malayali organisation in North America. He used to accompany the Chief Minister whenever he visited the US. “During my last visit, he was unable to come due to poor health, and I had visited him in Chicago,” he remembered.
A native of Oachira in Kollam, He was a member of the Loka Kerala Sabha since its beginning and played a key role in coordinating support for Kerala during the COVID-19 period and the floods. Dr Anirudhan was also honoured with the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman.
