Kozhikode registers 79.81% pass in Class XII exams

Kozhikode district registered a pass percentage of 79.81 in Class XII examinations (State syllabus, 2024-25 academic year), the results of which were declared on Thursday.

According to the Education department, 31,029 of the 38,878 students in 174 schools who appeared for the exams became eligible for higher studies. As many as 3,576 students scored A plus in all subjects. Kozhikode is in the fourth position in the State behind Ernakulam, Thrissur, and Kannur.

Last year, the district had recorded a pass percentage of 81.25. The pass percentage has been declining over the past few years.

The school that scored 100% results are Presentation Higher Secondary School, Chevayur, Kozhikode city; CM Higher Secondary School, Mannur North; Sevamandir Higher Secondary School, Ramanattukara; and Karuna Speech and Hearing Higher Secondary School, Eranhipalam, Kozhikode city.

The students who scored full marks are C.M. Nafsiyya (science) Government Higher Secondary School for Girls, Balussery; T. Gowri Parvathy and K. Vani Lakshmi (science), Rahmania Higher Secondary School for the Handicapped, Kozhikode; Isha Prashanth (science) Memunda HSS, Villiappally, Vadakara; B. Devananda (science) Government Higher Secondary School, Narikkuni; S. Sreelakshmi (science), Government Higher Secondary School, Naduvannur; Leandra Sherlet Nelliyany (commerce), St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Koodathai; P.T. Sriya (science), Seva Mandir Higher Secondary School, Ramanattukara; Anviya Elizabeth (humanities), St. Michael’s Higher Secondary School, West Hill, Kozhikode; Christy Paul Mathew (science), Holy Family Higher Secondary School, Venappara; Amna Fathima (science), MJ Vocational Higher Secondary School, Villiappally, Vadakara; and Zhida K. Razak (science), Government Vocational Higher Secondary School, Payyoli.

In the vocational higher secondary stream, 1,680 of the 2,553 students became eligible for higher studies. The pass percentage is 65.8.
