The Kochi airport will operate 1,520 weekly services during the forthcoming winter schedule, an increase from the 1,454 services during the ongoing summer schedule.
The winter schedule will kick in on October 26 and last till March 28, 2026. Star Air will commence operations from Kochi to Bengaluru and back four days a week during the winter schedule. Indigo will operate two daily flights to Thiruvananthapuram and a daily flight to Navi Mumbai. Akasa will also operate daily flights to Ahmedabad and Navi Mumbai.
The winter schedule will feature 27 airlines, of which 25 will be international carriers, operating 341 weekly departures to international destinations. IndiGo tops the list with 49 weekly departures to international destinations, while Air India Express will have 47 departure operations a week. The other weekly services will be operated by Etihad (28), Air Asia (21), Air Arabia Abu Dhabi (18), Akasa (17), Air India, Air Arabia, Emirates, Oman Air, Singapore Airlines (14 each), Kuwait airways and Qatar Airways (11 each), Saudia, Thai Air Asia (10 each), Spice Jet, Srilankan, Malaysia Airlines (7 each), Jazeera (5), Fly Dubai, Gulf Air, Island Aviation, Viatjet, Malindo (4 each), Thai Lion air (3).
There will be 67 weekly departures to Abu Dhabi alone, followed by Dubai with 45 operations. Other key destinations include Doha (38), Kuala Lumpur (32), Muscat (25), and Sharjah (21). Singapore (14), Male (11), Bangkok 10, Jeddah and Riyadh (8 each), Bahrain, Colombo, Dammam, and Ras Al Khaimah (7 each), Ho Chi Minh City (4), and Phuket (3).
The winter schedules will focus on stronger connectivity across West Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Gulf region. Air Asia plans to increase the frequency of operations from 11 to 21 per week while Air India will re-instate the Doha sector, and Akasa will operate daily flights to Dammam.
In the domestic sector, there will be 86 flights to Bengaluru, 69 to Mumbai, 63 to Delhi, 47 to Chennai, 61 to Hyderabad, 14 to Agathi, 13 to Ahmedabad, 14 to Pune, 7 each to Calicut, Goa, Kannur and 5 to Salem.
As per the new schedule, an IndiGo flight from Kannur will land at Kochi at 9:40 a.m. This will serve the Kochi – Thiruvananthapuram sector twice a day. The departing time from Kochi to Thiruvananthapuram will be 10 a.m. and 3.50 p.m., and will depart back to Kochi at 1 p.m. and 7.20 p.m..
During the winter schedule, SpiceJet will operate daily services to Chennai and Hyderabad. Totally, the winter schedule will feature 682 arrivals and 838 departures, both international and domestic services, respectively, a week.
