After a neck-and-neck race with Kannur and Palakkad districts for five days, Kozhikode district has won the Kerala School Kalolsavam 2023, held at Kozhikode. This is the 21st time Kozhikode is claiming the top spot — more than any other district in the history of the festival.
This time around about 11,000 secondary school students from state schools in 14 districts of Kerala participated in 239 events around 24 venues in Kalolsavam, which commenced on January 3. It concludes on January 7.

As is customary, the district with most points at the end of the competitions will take home the golden cup of 117.5 sovereign. As per the final tally, Kozhikode takes the top spot with 945 points, followed by both Kannur and Palakkad with 925 points each.
