Kerala government sanctions ₹16.5 crore for upgrading seven schools in Alappuzha

The Kerala government has sanctioned ₹16.5 crore for the development of seven government schools in the Alappuzha Assembly constituency. P.P. Chitharanjan, MLA, said the project had received administrative and technical sanctions.

The schools to be upgraded are Government Higher Secondary School, Kalavoor (₹5 crore), Government High School, Mannancherry (₹3 crore), Higher Secondary School, Aryad (₹3.5 crore), Government Lower Primary School, Aryad (₹2 crore), Government Lower Primary School, Vadikad (₹1 crore), Government Lower Primary School, Thiruvizha (₹1 crore), and Lower Primary School, Polabhagom (₹1 crore).

To ensure that the works are carried out without delay, a meeting was held recently in Thiruvananthapuram in the presence of Mr. Chitharanjan. The meeting also decided to restart the stalled construction works on Sree Chithra Vilasam Upper Primary School, Poomkavu; Government Lower Primary School, Kalavoor; Government Upper Primary School, Aryad North; Government Lower Primary School, Mararikulam South; and VVSD Lower Primary School, Aryad.
