The Kerala Pradesh School Teachers’ Association (KPSTA) has alleged betrayal by the State government on the issue of Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET).
Condemning the government’s failure to file a petition seeking a review of a Supreme Court ruling that makes clearing the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) mandatory for all school teachers, the KPSTA alleged that the government was being indifferent to the issue.
The government argument that teachers with over 25 years of service and about to retire should appear for the TET was unjust, it said.
Instead of conducting a fresh TET exam and putting teachers to hardship, the government should try and convince the Supreme Court how matters stand and find a permanent solution to the issue, the KPSTA State committee said.
