Kallara Sarasamma, mother of actors Ambika and Radha and who used to be associated with the Congress, has died. She was 83.
The end came at 3 a.m. on Thursday at a private hospital in Sasthamangalam where Ms. Sarasamma had been admitted a month ago following health complications. She had suffered a stroke three years ago and was confined to the wheelchair after that.
She is survived by daughters Ambika, Mallika, and Udaya Chandrika (Radha) and sons Mallikarjun and Suresh.
The cremation will be held at her house at Kallara at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
