MPs K.C. Venugopal and Kodikunnil Suresh have condoled the death of actor-filmmaker Sreenivasan. The Alappuzha MP said that Sreenivasan was an irreplaceable artistic talent.
“His works conveyed the raw realities of life, wrapped in humour. Sreenivasan, an unparalleled talent, addressed the life experiences of people around us with honesty and precision,” Mr. Venugopal said.
Mr. Suresh said that the demise of Sreenivasan was an irreparable loss to Malayalam cinema and Kerala’s cultural life. Through his writing and acting, which seamlessly blended keen social observation, humanism and humour, he was a rare talent who influenced generations. By portraying the lives, dreams and sorrows of ordinary people with remarkable honesty, Sreenivasan gave Malayalam cinema a distinctive language and direction,” the Mavelikara MP added.
