JioAICloud Welcome Offer slashed: New users now get 50GB free storage, down from 100GB

Technology

Reliance Jio announced a JioAICloud Welcome Offer in September 2024, providing 100 GB of free cloud storage for its network users. However, the company has now reduced the offer to 50 GB. New users who sign up for the JioAICloud Welcome Offer will now receive 50 GB of free cloud storage, which is still significantly more than what major tech companies like Google, Microsoft, and Apple offer.

Non-Jio customers can also get 50 GB of free cloud storage; however, it will only remain free for the first 90 days. In contrast, Jio network users can enjoy free cloud storage for a longer period, though the company is expected to introduce a fee eventually.

Those who have already redeemed the JioAICloud Welcome Offer will retain 100 GB of storage at no additional cost. For new users, however, the limit has been reduced to 50 GB. Users can simply recharge with any plan priced over Rs 299 to become eligible for the JioAICloud Welcome Offer, which can be accessed via the MyJio app or by downloading the JioCloud app.

JioCloud not only offers free storage but also includes several AI-powered features, such as AI Photo Play, which transforms regular photos into animated images—including the ability to generate Ghibli-style portraits for free.

JioCloud can be used to store photos, videos, audio files, and digital documents, which can be accessed across devices. The platform is also integrated with DigiLocker, making it easy to download and access all your government-issued documents and certificates in one place.
