Rajit Gupta from the IIT Delhi zone has secured all India rank (AIR) 1. He has scored 332 marks out of 360. According to reports, he scored a 100 percentile in JEE Main for both sessions 1 and 2.
In the previous session exam, Ved Lahoti emerged as the JEE Advanced topper with a record score of 355 out of 360. Here is the list of toppers:

Speaking with AIR 1 Rajit Gupta, he said that he did not follow a strict schedule for the preparation as he felt an unduly pressure on him. So I used to read only when I felt like it, but whatever time I used to read, I used to read well. I focused on not repeating mistakes and tried to stay happy during the preparation. I sometimes used to play with children, as it would refresh my mind also. ”
Speaking with AIR 2, Saksham Jindal, “Preparing for a competitive exam like JEE is certainly challenging, but when combined with dedication, clear objectives and strong guidance, no goal is impossible. I wanted to make my career in Cricket, but due to Covid, I stopped the practice and started to focus on studies.”
Criteria for the Common Rank List (CRL)
To be included in the Common Rank List (CRL), candidates must meet both the subject-wise and overall qualifying marks. The aggregate score will be calculated by adding the marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

The maximum possible aggregate score is 360, with 180 marks allotted for each of Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each subject—Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry—has a maximum of 120 marks, with 60 marks allocated for each paper in every subject. Candidates need to satisfy the qualifying marks for each subject as well as the total to be considered for a rank.
Maximum aggregate marks: 360 (180 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)
Maximum marks in Mathematics: 120 (60 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)
Maximum marks in Physics: 120 (60 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)
Maximum marks in Chemistry: 120 (60 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)
JEE Advanced Results 2025: What next?
Qualified candidates will now proceed with the Joint Seat Allocation (JoSAA) 2025 counselling process to secure admissions in institutes, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other government-funded technical institutes (GFTIs). The registration and choice-filling process for academic programs under JoSAA will commence on June 3, 2025.
