In a suspected case of suicide, an inspector attached to the Telecommunications wing of Kerala Police was found dead in his house near Kazhakuttam on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Jaison Alex, 48. He was found hanging in his newly-constructed house at Chenkottukonam. His wife and children were not at home at the time of the incident.
According to the police, he was last seen leaving for work, and it was after his return in the afternoon that his family members found him dead.
The Kazhakuttom police have registered a case of unnatural death. While the circumstances that led to his death are yet to be known, preliminary findings indicated the possibility of suicide as being the case of death.
