IndusInd Bank chairman Sunil Mehta is learnt to have decided not to seek reappointment after his tenure ends January 2026 as part of the lender’s strategy to revamp the top deck.

Recently, the bank had undergone a complete leadership rejig following the unearthing of ₹2,000 derviate loss on account of ‘governance and accounting lapses’.  Mr Mehta had joined the bank in January 2023.

In a statement, an IndusInd Bank Spokesperson said, “The bank’s chairman and the board remain fully committed to leading the organisation in line with its strategic priorities. The bank will continue to make necessary disclosures in accordance with applicable laws and at the appropriate stage.”
