The United Planers Association of Southern India and the Tea Board India will organise the eighth edition of India International Tea Convention in Kochi from September 18 to 20.
A press release from the organisers said the theme this year will be “Innovating the Tea Ecosystem for Tomorrow” and will focus on not just automation and digitisation but also on advanced technologies and sustainable practices.
According to K. Mathew Abraham, president of UPASI, delegates from more than ten tea-producing and consuming countries have confirmed their participation. The event will see nearly 450 delegates and key decision-makers attending from across the global tea value chain. There will be panel discussions, technical sessions, an industrial exhibition, and business to business networking opportunities.
There will also be a Specialty Tea Competition and the final tasting session of the 20th edition of the Golden Leaf India Awards: Southern Tea Competition (TGLIA).
