The indefinite agitation launched by trade unions of the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB), including the Left unions, protesting against the ‘denial of rights’ by the KSEB management is continuing outside the KSEB State headquarters here.
Organised under the banner of the National Coordination Committee of Electricity Employees and Engineers (NCCOEEE), the agitation entered the fourth day on Saturday.
The demands made by the unions include steps for the immediate release of dearness allowance and dearness relief (DA/DR) arrears, allocation of sufficient funds for the Pension Master Trust and approval for the pay revision agreements in the KSEB.
The agitation was launched on October 15.
KSEB Pensioners Association State president N. Venugopal inaugurated the fourth day’s agitation on Saturday. KSEB Workers Association (CITU) State treasurer A.H. Saju presided.
