Srinivasan K Swamy, Executive Group Chairman, R K Swamy Ltd., will be inducted into the Asian Federation of Advertising Association (AFAA) Hall of Fame on October 24 at the inaugural session of the prestigious AdAsia Congress in Beijing. According to a statement, this is the highest honour that AFAA bestows once every two years, and is reserved for a single leader who has made an indelible impression on the marcom (marketing communications) industry at a pan-Asian level.
Mr.Swamy, who is currently President of the Advertising Agencies Association of India, has already held this position for three consecutive terms earlier between 2004 and 2007. He has also led major industry Associations like the New York-based International Advertising Association (IAA), the first Indian to hold this position; the Confederation of Asian Advertising Agency Associations (CAAAA), Audit Bureau of Circulations, the India Chapter of the IAA, Advertising Standards Council of India, All India Management Association, The Madras Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Madras Advertising Club with rare distinction.
He also plays a significant leadership role in the running of a major hospital and several educational and religious institutions.
