Holiday for schools in Kannur, Kasaragod on Thursday

In view of the orange alert and continuing heavy rainfall, the Kannur and Kasaragod District Collectors have declared a holiday for all education institutions on Thursday (July 17).

The order applies to schools, anganwadis, religious institutions, and tuition centres. However, the district administration clarified that there would be no change in the schedule of previously announced examinations.

The decision follows the India Meteorological department’s orange alert warning for the districts and is aimed at ensuring the safety of students.
