Flights to and from Kochi airport hit by closure of Qatar airspace

Flight services to and from the Kochi airport were disrupted following the closure of Qatar’s airspace on Monday night.

An Air India Express flight that departed from the Kochi airport at 6.53 p.m. was diverted to Muscat, while an Air India flight to Doha scheduled for Tuesday at 12.53 a.m. was cancelled.

A Qatar Airways flight scheduled to arrive at the Kochi airport on Tuesday at 2.53 a.m. was delayed, and hence its return to Doha was also affected.

An Air Arabia flight to Abu Dhabi was delayed, while an Etihad flight headed to Abu Dhabi was returning to the Kochi airport, said a statement issued by the airport. SpiceJet’s Dubai flight was cancelled.
