The engineering students’ summit, IEEE YESS’25, was held at the National Institute of Technology-Calicut (NIT-C) on Saturday (September 20, 2025). Organised by the Kerala chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the event brought together over 6,000 students from more than 100 engineering colleges to NIT-C.
Prasad Krishna, Director, NIT-C, inaugurated the event, which was presided over by B.S. Manoj, Chair of the IEEE Kerala Section. The keynote address was delivered by Sameer S.M., Chair-Elect of IEEE Region 10. Felicitation addresses were given by Sabik P.V. (Treasurer, IEEE Kerala Section), Bijuna Kunju (Advisor, IEEE Kerala Section), and Shihabudheen of NIT-C.
The summit featured cutting-edge exhibitions and showcases across diverse engineering sectors, with a special focus on drone technology and artificial intelligence. Students had the opportunity to interact directly with specialists and industry leaders, gaining insights into real-world applications and potential career paths.
