An elderly couple, reportedly relatives of Forest Minister A.K. Saseendran, were found burnt to death at their house at Alavil, Kannur, on Thursday (August 28, 2025) evening.
The deceased were identified as Premarajan, 75, and his wife Sreelekha, 69.
The incident came to light around 5 p.m. when their driver failed to get a response after repeatedly calling them. He alerted neighbours, and on inspection noticed the fire. On entering inside, the charred bodies of the couple were reportedly found.
The police have registered a case of unnatural death.
